JOB PURPOSE

Canoo Design Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated trim and upholstery specialist. The primary responsibility of this role is to help bring designs into reality by achieving high quality upholstered finishes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Surfacing, highlighting, color sanding, buffing, metal finishing of components
• Geared towards the production and modification of concept vehicles and support properties

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of experience in high end automotive upholstery
• Experience in creating templates
• Must be proficient in working will all types of natural and synthetic materials and leather
• Experienced in hand shaping foam
• Experienced in conceptual automotive interior builds
• Works well alone or as part of a team

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

•  Experience with bondo squeezing parts
• Hard modeling experience
• Experience with embossing materials
• Able to work form renderings and print
