    JOB PURPOSE 

    The Design Quality Specialist will support Design Quality, CMF Design, Engineering, and Purchasing teams with implementation of quality systems, testing and monitoring of conformance to established quality assurance processes and standards for manufacturing and production.  

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Communicate with Design studio/CMF and engineering teams to coordinate Design intent for production 
    • Conduct visual reviews for all appearance parts level 
    • Assist with mastering for production: sign-off new masters once master standard is approved  
    • Manage Design Quality data (AAR) 
    • Support material development and manufacturing processes 
    • Communicate with production suppliers and grainer 
    • Attend tool trials for plastic parts 
    • Knowledge in a variety of production and prototype manufacturing 
    • Support Design reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product Designs 
    • Conduct material review dispositions for non- conformances (AAR) 
    • Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances (AAR)  
    • Provide feasible solutions to bring Design team's vision into production vehicles

     

     EXPERIENCE 

    • 6+ years of new vehicle development for Design Quality  
    • BS degree in Engineering, Industrial Design and/or relevant experience 
    • Experience in new vehicle development and launch activities 
    • Knowledge of AIAG standards including APQP and PPAP requirements 
    • Experience with AAR process
