    JOB PURPOSE  

    The SW Operations Test Automation Engineer is responsible to help with design and implementation of unit and load testing of REST-ful APIs and cloud native applications.

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Development of detailed test plans and test processes for Canoo cloud and connected vehicle applications like Over the Air Updates  
    • Test automation of web UI using tools like selenium 
    • Design and develop testing frameworks needed to optimize and scale our testing efforts 
    • Design and implementation of unit and load testing of REST-ful APIs

      

    EXPERIENCE

    • 5+ years of experience
    • BS or higher in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent practical engineering experience and excellence 
    • Experience developing test automation or software applications using languages such as Python, JavaScript 
    • Exceptional attention to detail, deep engagement in product design, and a constant focus on customer experience 
    • Experience in testing and debugging embedded systems 
    • Experience in native app, web application, API, and server backend test automation 
    • Experience developing and maintaining continuous integration and test pipeline tools (e.g. Docker, Jenkins) 
    • Understanding of various communication protocols (CAN, RS485, UART, Wifi, etc.)
