    JOB PURPOSE

    As a restraints engineer, you will be part of a team delivering a world-class solution occupant experience, that will meet global regulatory and consumer requirements, while being cost and mass efficient. The is an end-to-end role where you will start from a blank sheet of paper and end up supporting launch efforts. The role will entail interfacing with cross functional peers and suppliers on a daily.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Propose and develop seating solution concepts to support design/vehicle theme. Understand the implications of meeting global regulatory requirements.
    • Work with specialized restraints suppliers to mature solution concepts into a manufacturable solution that delivers a world-class restraints system for safety and quality.
    • Support the generation and maintenance of a detailed Bill of Materials. Understand costs, timing, and program deliverables
    • Interface with and support mating commodities where necessary to aid in delivery of world leading vehicle systems.
    • Fit in with the culture of a start-up company. Mentor interns as necessary to support the continued growth of the company.

    EXPERIENCE

    • 8 years of experience in automotive restraints design or vehicle interior components.
    • Previous exposure to automotive legal specifications.
    • Be proficient in Catia and Microsoft office software suite.
    • BS in Engineering. MS preferred
