JOB PURPOSE

The Canoo Design Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Specialist Technician.nThe primary responsibility of this role is to maintain and build concept and prototype vehicles. Reporting to the Technical Platform Manager, the person in this role will support the design department's objective to create, build, and finish design concepts from start to finish.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform Pre- and post-delivery of show cars
• Performs high-level work in the inspection, repair, and service of concept vehicles
• Perform equipment inspections, adjustments and certifications
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
• Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail
• Work in a team-based environment and achieve common goals
• Fabrication experienced with, Drill Press, Sheet metal tools, various fab tools
• Preferred EV/HV experience
• Low voltage vehicle wiring (12v system and component integration)
• Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
• Eye for detail and cleanliness

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Prototype and concept experience (working on and handling of concept and prototype properties)
• Knowledge with plumbing/wiring vehicles from the ground up
• Experience with hauling and trailer maneuvering
