    JOB PURPOSE

    The Chassis Brakes Engineer will contribute to the design, analysis, testing, and integration of various projects related to brake systems. You will contribute to the design and integration of brake systems for prototype and production vehicles. Depending on previous experience and education, this involves conceptual & detail design, CAD modeling in Catia V6, etc. You will be working along side various interdisciplinary teams to help integrate the design from overall vehicle perspective.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Create and modify 3D & 2D CAD designs for brake systems and its related components
    • Work with suppliers to ensure design, cost, and mass requirement are met
    • Work with supplier to implement component Design Verification Plan (DVP) to meet build timing
    • Manage deliverables and suppliers to meet program milestones and prototype builds
    • Construct Design Verification Plan (DVP) and coordinate execution of verification tests throughout program milestones
    • Coordinate cross functionally to build and maintain prototype vehicles for Chassis testing

    EXPERIENCE

    • Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent 
    • Proficient in Catia V6 Basic 
    • Knowledge of braking, steering, and suspension components 
    • Previous work on extra-curricular teams such as Mini Baja, Formula SAE etc. is a plus 
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills
