    Note that this position is located at our Newport Beach, California office. We have a hybrid schedule where all staff are expected to be in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

    Job Responsibilities:

    The IT Manager will have responsibility for overall maintenance and performance of the technology infrastructure, systems, and applications at Canterbury Consulting. Under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, this person will maintain the computing environment by identifying technology requirements; researching, recommending, and installing upgrades; and monitoring technology performance to insure that the organization can continue to effectively and efficiently serve clients. The IT Manager will supervise the System Administrator, and will be accountable for all policies, procedures, training, and documentation for the department.

    Job Duties:

    · Establish general technology standards by conferring with users and management; analyze workflow, access and security requirements, design and implement technology solutions, and insure the technology infrastructure is available to users.

    · Maintain network availability; plan and execute the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; define network policies and procedures; manage vendor relationships.

    · Act as the subject matter expert on all internal applications and technology processes, including workflow systems, CRM, and data import/export tools.

    · Support users by designing and conducting training programs, provide references and documentation, resolve desktop and application issues.

    · Manage all technology hardware, including servers, network equipment, desktops, and printers.

    · Effectively communicate technology related updates and plans to senior management and to users.

    · Meet financial targets by submitting information for budgets and monitoring expenses.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    · 10+ years of technology experience.

    · 3+ years of managing a team or department, including budgetary responsibility.

    · Operational, hands-on knowledge of the following technologies and concepts:

    o Network, OS, and application testing, security, and implementation.

    o HP networking equipment, including routers and switches. Candidate should be proficient with routing tables, NAT, VLANs, as well as LAN & WAN maintenance.

    o Watchguard Firebox firewalls and VPNs.

    o Server hardware maintenance, including best practices for monitoring, environmental controls, and upgrade procedures.

    o OS, application, and database support on a Microsoft platform; Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Hyper-V.

    o Backup strategies and concepts, including the design, implementation and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

    o Voice Over IP and WAN infrastructure and maintenance, including vendor relationships for managing internet and MPLS connections.

    o Cybersecurity methods and processes including MFA technologies and NTFS best practices.

    o Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Micro Focus Solutions Business Manager

    o Microsoft 365 including email management, quarantines, Active Directory Sync, and Azure

    o Experience with development in TSQL for Microsoft SQL Server, C# in Microsoft Visual Studio, Excel VBA and VBScript a plus.

    · Outstanding communication skills; specifically the ability to communicate technical plans or concepts to a non-technical audience.

    · A college degree is strongly preferred, but not required.
