Job Summary
We are hiring an assistant pastry chef to work in our catering kitchen. The pastry chef assistant would perform tasks assigned to them by the Pastry Manager and actively contribute as an integral part of the team. Our goal is to provide the highest quality food and service while never losing the personal touch that the company was built upon.
Preferred Knowledge, Experience and Skill Set:
2+ years as an assistant pastry chef in a restaurant or related field
Proper time management and food preparations
CA Food Handler Certified
Detail Oriented
Familiar with
Breakfast breads
Proofing dough
French pastries
Cookies
Macarons
Cakes
Candy
Wedding Cake Decorating
Pies and Bars
Physical:
Must be able to lift and carry heavy items(50 lbs)
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Must have the ability to work at a rapid pace
Attitude/ Demeanor:
Must posses excellent communication skills
Must posses listening skills with the ability to follow instructions closely
Must be able to stay focused and on task
Must remain teachable and flexible
Must be a team player
