BANQUET BARTENDER JOB DESCRIPTION:
Banquet Bartenders, are responsible for mixing and serving drinks for guests
BANQUET BARTENDER JOB DUTIES:
Assisting in Unloading Company Vehicle
Setting Up the Bar Area
Keeping Inventory of Liquor
Pouring Beverages
Assisting Banquet Servers with pouring Champagne and Wine for seated dinner service
Is responsible for safe consumption of alcohol by monitoring the alcohol intake of guests in accordance with Canyon Catering guidelines
Must be TIPS certified
Responsible for insuring that underage guests are not served alcoholic beverages
Responsible for cash handling for drink payment for cash bars
Tearing down the bar
Boxing unused bottles and empty bottles
BANQUET BARTENDERS SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Good Memory: Bartenders need to have a good short term and long term memory. Short-term memory is very important for keeping track of each guests order. Long-term memory helps the bartender in remembering drink recipes
Communication: Communication is critical for a bartender. Bartenders communicate with guest throughout the shift. Speaking clearly and listening to guest creates a friendly atmosphere.
Organization: Bartenders are often busy running all over the bar, and serving multiple guests at a time. A good bartender keeps track of who ordered what, who paid, and who is still waiting for a drink. Being organized allows the bartender to multi-task. Bartenders should also keep the bar clean and organized – this not only makes your bar look nice but also creates and environment for more efficient service
Friendly: Bartenders should greet every guest with hello and a smile
Composure: A bartender should remain calm under stressful situations
