JOB SUMMARY
SOCIAL EVENTS SERVER JOB DESCRIPTION:
Social Events Servers are serving staff that work all off premise events. A Social Event Server will be required to work with all Canyon Catering Social Event Staff, such as chefs, bartenders and dishwashers. Canyon Social Events Servers must make sure each course is delivered as quickly as possible and that all beverages are replenished and full at all times. Canyon Catering Social Event Servers should remove each round of plates and answer questions from guests. At a private residence they will be required to Tray Pass and Set up Food Stations and Food Displays as well as maintain a clean work environment. Social Event Staff is often responsible for the set up and clean up and breakdown of the events.
SOCIAL EVENT SERVER JOB DUTIES:
Assist in unloading of equipment and food from truck
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
Place all equipment and food in designated area of events
Set up Tables, Buffets and Stations
Serve every table
Refill Beverages
Clear each course of plates and flatware
Answer guest questions
Clean up and Break down of the event
Load up all equipment onto Canyon Vehicle
SOCIAL EVENT SERVER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Customer Service:
Communication is key to social event server jobs. You will need to listen to clients orders, answer client questions and more. You will need great listening and speaking skills, a friendly relaxing demeanor, courteousness and quick service create a great dining experience for our clients
Stamina:
Busy days on your feet, moving fast and carrying large traysof food are the trademark of a banquet server job.
Teamwork:
Social Event servers are part of a team. You will be working with other servers and cooking staff to make a great dining experience. Being a team player is essential.
Cleanliness:
Nobody wants their food delivered by someone who is not properly groomed. Being clean and neat when serving food and drinks will help create a great first impression to your customers.
