    Job Description

    International Society of Automation- Inside Sales Representative

    General Function-

    Conduct inside sales functions for the sales and support of sales for advertising and sponsorships. Support Account Executive(s) in sales of Automation.com and InTech advertising, ISA conference & content sponsorships, other products as assigned, and manage relationships with advertising and sponsorship accounts.

    1. Primary Responsibilities and Duties

    A. Support Account Executive(s) with selling and renewing Automation.com and InTech advertising programs, ISA content & conference sponsorships and other ISA products as assigned. Log sales activity, create orders, conduct follow-ups via email and phone, perform account management activities with assigned accounts.

    B. Conduct virtual meetings as necessary to maintain relationships with customers, and close business.

    C. Support activities to meet advertising and sponsorships sales budget. Sustain and develop relationships with representatives with top B2B client decision-makers.

    D. Sell advertising in Automation.com website, e-newsletters, or other products at budget level assigned by manager and/or account executive(s).

    E. Sell advertising in InTech magazine at level assigned by manager and/or account executive(s).

    F. Sell ISA content and conference sponsorship at level assigned by manager and/or account executive(s).

    G. Occasional travel to industry trade shows and conferences to learn more about the industry, meet with existing clients and prospects, and general sales prospecting purposes.

    H. Maintain and add to customer and prospect list in company database (Salesforce.com and associated tools), including contact information, call history and sales data.

    I. Fully utilize the technology and tools available to mine for new contacts (DB Hoovers or other), automated email marketing and sale cadence workflow management (Salesloft or other)

    J. Support Account Executive(s) with continuous prospecting of new advertising and sponsorship opportunities within existing and new accounts using tools available, to include:

    a. New companies

    b. Lost/recovered companies

    c. New Technology companies

    d. IT/infrastructure companies

    K. Collaborate with Publisher (and the entire team) to develop and implement sales and marketing plans and strategies to increase sales and/or attain sales goals. Provide input for marketing campaigns.

    L. Serve on the Automation.com/ISA operations team, contributing to marketing, sales and product strategies.

    M. Conduct workflow and tasks as identified to support to sales/account executive with program renewals, closing new business.

    N. Strategize with other stakeholders and key personnel to work toward cross-selling of products and services in order to achieve overall budget goals for ISA.

    1. Working Relationship

    A. ISA & Automation.com Staff: Routine contact with members of staff across organization, including but not limited to marketing, events, training, consortia, etc.

    B. Outside ISA: Intensive contact with advertising company representatives to gain binding commitments or contracts.

    1. Minimum Qualifications

    A. Education: Requires knowledge of industrial marketing and sales practices as it relates to advertising and sponsorship sales. A four year degree in business is preferred.

    B. Experience: Three to five years of relevant sales experience including telemarketing. A working knowledge of automation and control is preferred.

    C. Experience: Relevant experience using Salesforce.com or related tools for sales activity logging, opportunity tracking, pipeline managements, and sales workflow.

    D. Skills and Ability: Communication skills both written and verbal with intangible sales know-how and the ability to deal with people successfully. Must be independently motivated, well organized, and results-oriented.
