    We are seeking to hire an experienced HARDWARE VALIDATION ENGINEER on a 12-month contract basis, to support our hardware validation team located at our office based in LANE COVE, SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA.

     

    The Hardware Validation Engineer will impact the organisation through planning, documenting, automating and executing hardware tests in accordance with industry standards to demonstrate the quality of our products.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Plan, build, and execute manual hardware tests.
    • Script simple software to automate a variety of equipment.
    • Extract testable features from product requirements.
    • Select appropriate industry standards and extract relevant test parameters.
    • Review test plans, procedures, setups, code, and strive towards continuous improvement.
    • Create reliable, scalable assets for automated testing.
    • Develop a test plan that can stand up to industry scrutiny.
    • Demonstrate passion for standardised, reliable automation practices.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering field (electronics, software, computer science, etc.)
    • 5+ years Hardware Validation Engineering experience.
    • Demonstrable skills and experience programming in Bash, C/C++, Python, or Matlab.
    • Demonstrate electronics design, programming, technical understanding of the product requirements and industry-standard test methods.
    • Demonstrable research and documentation skills, ideally in published works or contributions to an industry standard.
    • Experience with communication technologies such as 4G, 5G, Bluetooth, Ethernet, Gfast, VDSL, and WiFi, and how they work.
    • Programming experience in a professional environment.
    • Strong teamwork and ability to work with colleagues from a variety of disciplines.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
    • Demonstrate professionalism and a passion for quality in all tasks.
