    LOAN SERVICES TEAM LEAD

    Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority (UHEAA) is a non-profit Utah state agency that helps families finance higher education. Our vision is to provide the best student loan experience anywhere and to improve the quality of life by removing financial barriers to higher education. We value students’ success from filling out the FAFSA application to responsible loan borrowing and successful loan repayment. When students achieve their educational dreams, we know we have done our part. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Loan Services Team Lead to grow within our organization.

     

     

    TEAM LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide assistance and guidance to a group of 6-12 Loan Services Representatives.
    • Provide first-level assistance as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to Loan Services staff by answering questions, providing suggestions for improvement, and assisting with difficult problems.
    • Monitor, evaluate, and train each team member for quality assurance purposes and performance measurements.
    • Gather documentation for audits, artifacts, and similar projects.
    • Participate in User Acceptance Testing.
    • Identify and assist in implementation of efficiencies within the business unit.
    • Assist the Manager and Supervisor with oversight and management of all business unit Loan Services functions.

     

     

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

    • Demonstrated experience in performing Loan Services activities on student loans is preferred.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office functions.
    • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven time management, interpersonal relations, and analytical skills.
    • Proven leadership ability to influence others to perform their jobs effectively and to be responsible for making decisions.
    • Experience in motivating and providing recognition to employees.
    • Able to work well under pressure.
    • Knowledge of federal student loan programs and software applications (i.e. COMPASS, Cactus, PEPS, E-Oscar. etc.) is required.
    • Accounting and financial services experience is preferred.

     

     

    EDUCATION

    Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

      

     

    WORK SCHEDULE

    Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Schedule may change based on business needs.

    • Due to our federal contract, US Citizenship status is required.
