    ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR FOR ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGY

     

     

    PURPOSE/SUMMARY OF JOB:

     

    The Adjunct Instructor for Architectural Technology will be responsible for the course design and instruction of building technology- oriented Architecture/ Engineering/ Construction (AEC)-prefixed courses. These courses will include AEC 123 Commercial Construction Drawing, and may in the future encompass additional similar responsibilities for AEC 116 Building Materials, AEC 102 Residential Construction Drawing, and AEC 121 Construction Materials and Systems.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    The Adjunct Instructor for Architectural Technology will design the specific course curriculum, grading system, and assignments for the course or courses identified above. The course is conducted over a fifteen (15) week Part of Term and will include the provision of regular office hours for students outside of class meeting hours per the requirements of the Faculty Handbook. This position will conform to the Departmental requirements for attendance and participation in departmental meetings and required trainings.

     

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

     

    EDUCATION:         Master of Architecture or professional degree equivalent.

     

     

    EXPERIENCE:       2000 hours minimum of documented professional work experience; active professional licensure can be evaluated for satisfaction of the requirement for currency of professional experience.

     

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:      Familiarity with common digital design software (AutoCAD, BIM, 3D modeling applications, Photoshop/ Illustrator proficiency desirable.
