• Responsible for ALL site activities. The core function of this position is to directly manage the operations of the assigned location.
• Works under the direction of the Production Manager
• Responsible for the Health and Welfare of all personnel in the plant area and ensuring the site meets or exceeds MSHA Standards
• Responsible for the administration of the Summit Safety Principles
• Responsible for obtaining the maximum production at the plant and minimizing downtime
• Ensures that quality products are being produced within internal and external specifications
• Responsible to manage and control costs of the operation
• Compiles all data so that timecards, maintenance logs, production logs, etc., are completed
• Implement the Plant Maintenance Program

  • Parts requisitions
• Maintains and manages relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Sets the example for good leadership. Be an active member of a management team that is driven and motivated to excel.
• Responsible to motivate and effectively accomplish tasks through delegation to others. High level of interpersonal skills is essential.
• Responsible to develop and oversee budgeting process and financial performance
• Ability to perform job responsibilities without direct and constant supervision

Required Skills Required Experience

Experience Required

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of experience in an asphalt production environment or educational equivalent or a combination of the training/education and work experience
• Thorough understanding of asphalt production and MSHA standards
