    OMNNI ASSOCIATES

     

    OMNNI ASSOCIATES is seeking a Construction Materials Laboratory and Field Testing Technician to join our team in our Appleton, Wisconsin office.

    Construction Materials Laboratory and Field Testing Technicians are responsible for performing laboratory field testing in accordance with published standards and OMNNI laboratory policies and procedures. OMNNI has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

    • Laboratory geotechnical and construction materials testing of soil, aggregates, and asphalt mixes on private, commercial, municipal and WisDOT projects.
    • Potentially perform soil and asphalt compaction/density testing on multiple projects in accordance with OMNNI and project specifications. Test concrete for in the field conformance to project specifications.
    • Potentially prepare and submit written daily field reports summarizing daily activities/ observation test calculations and results.
    • Communicate with laboratory office and on-site personnel about schedule, testing requirements, and results.
    • Calibrate, repair and perform routine maintenance on field and laboratory equipment and laboratory work space.
    • Processing of laboratory test samples and reporting of laboratory test data.
    • Properly process test samples in the lab.
    • Good analytical and organizational skills with capability to problem solve.
    • Ability to maintain a clean and orderly workspace/vehicle is required

    Required Skills Required Experience

     ANY OF THE FOLLOWING: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in a science based curriculum
    • Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology
    • Equivalent experience (3 years) in construction materials testing is desired

  • Qualifications
    • Familiarity with healthcare clinical and operational workflows plus medical terminology.
    • Knowledge of and experience with quality improvement methods and tools.
    • Familiarity with Indian Health Services and/or population health management within American Indian and Alaska Native communities strongly preferred.
    • Residency in New Mexico plus availability to travel up to 25%.
