    JOB SUMMARY:

    The HVAC Technician will perform maintenance, service and replacement of all HVAC systems on the campus and perform other maintenance related jobs as needed.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

    • Knowledge of various HVAC systems:
      • Ductless Mini Split Systems
      • Rooftop Gas/Electric and Heat Pump Systems
      • Small Tonnage Water Source Heat Pump Systems
      • Water Tower and Boiler/WSHP Systems
      • 10-20 Ton Trane A/C Condensers with Matching Air Handlers
      • Duct Mounted Reznor Heater
    • Replace air filers in HVAC systems across the campus.
    • Respond to emergency situations in a professional capacity.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Basic maintenance, tools, and equipment.
    • Use and operate tools and equipment in a safe and effective manner, utilizing safe work practices.
    • Refrigerant relevant materials.
    • Multi-metering equipment.
    • Soldering equipment.
    • Must possess a current California driver license.
    • Five or more years of experience in a HVAC maintenance field, or equivalent education/experience.
    • EPA certification.
    • Must be able and willing to work all shifts as assigned.
    • Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose issues using line diagrams and schematics.
