Paralegal - Personal Injury - Worker's Compensation Capital Financing is an Atlanta, Georgia based company that started in 2010 where we provide Pre-Settlement loans to help individuals involved in litigation cases (Personal Injury/Worker's Compensation) where they are injured, can't work, and as a result fall upon financial hardships. Our co-founders are retired physicians who were introduced to this industry after successfully building a medical financing model (different company), where they contract with over 300 Georgia health care providers and hospitals. They set out to provide individuals without insurance to get access to medical care they needed and deserved. Capital Financing has one of the most financially stable and creative models to enable our customers to get back on their feet, without charging them fees they can't pay back at settlement. We are cutting edge in our technology and our desire to deliver the best service. We are currently doing business in 20 states and we have steadily grown over the past 5 years. Typically, a paralegal with experience will thrive in our company as they can utilize their skills of managing cases, valuing cases, dealing with Pre Settlement companies, relating with clients, all while not having to baby sit for 1-3 years while there case is active. The active time frame of working with clients is 1-3 days. Responsibilities: • Communicate with law firms and clients regarding their case to attain necessary documents and facts to make decisions • Comfortable is assessing plaintiff's cases including MVA and Premise to determine settlement value • Proficient with intake of case details including: Police reports, incident reports, policy limits, injuries, treatment, and value drivers to help underwriting • Learn all departments so you are cross trained in Contracting, Funding, and Intake • Interest in building relationships with law firms to grow the company • Perform accounting and clerical type functions to support contract processing and underwriting • Record business transactions and key daily worksheets • Communicate with law firms and clients • Perform Treasury Management functions issuing checks and ach’s • Able to educate about our product • Contribute and collaborate to move the company forward Qualifications: • At least 2 years in a law firm handling Personal Injury or Worker's Compensation claims • Experienced paralegal comfortable underwriting and evaluating motor vehicle accidents, worker's compensation, premise liability, and other PI cases • Strong communication stills • Able to make quick decisions • Professional to handle clients that are in dire straits • Strong customer services needs • Who is consistent in processes and policies • Excelling problem solving skills and error resolutions • Proficient in Excel and/or google sheets • Look history of consistent employment • Able to handle intake calls • Excel in fast paced environment • High level of patience to deal with sometimes and often rude clients seeking money • Willing to do whatever it takes • Think outside the box Compensation: $50,000 annually + bonus
