    Capital Preferences helps financial services firms better understand their clients through behavioral economics, decision science and human-centered design.     We profile customers using proprietary gamified tools that reveal each investor’s unique preferences and behaviors. Our approach is underpinned by the latest in human-centered design, behavioral economics, and decision science research, leading to more predictive and compliant measures than psychology-based questionnaires. Our methods were invented by our co-founder Shachar Kariv Ph.D., Chair of the Economics Department at UC Berkeley, and a team of leading researchers and product innovators.

    Business Development Representative (North America)

     

    Are you comfortable challenging customer mindsets to shake up their status quo? Do you get fired up by engaging financial services executive leaders with new ideas?

     

    We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial business development representative who will be responsible for generating new business pipeline through prospecting opportunities in the North American wealth management, consumer investment and insurance verticals.

     

    The ideal candidate will have a track record of discovering business initiatives through the performance of extensive research and consultative outbound prospecting. This is a tremendous opportunity to help shape the future of our business and be at the forefront of an organization that’s transforming the way financial services firms understand and engage with their clients.     You would join our team full time and be based in the North America (ideally Eastern seaboard, but we have flexibility there).

      

    Responsibilities

     

    Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Source new business and revenue through outbound prospecting efforts.
    • Perform extensive research to better position yourself for effective tactical and strategic outbound sales efforts.
    • Present unique sales angles to address prospective client pressure points.
    • Build credibility and trust with prospects.
    • Manage, forecast, and report sales activity and pipeline to meet revenue targets and company goals.
    • Reflect and recognize patterns in commercial conversations, and collaborate with Capital Preferences’ commercial and product teams to capitalize on new go-to-market opportunities.

     

    Experience and Skills

     

    • Experience working within the wealth management technology sector.
    • Ability to challenge and teach executives new ways of viewing their own business.
    • Must be self-accountable and be able to work independently.
    • Strong intellectual curiosity, empathetic personality, passionate, competitive, and organized.
    • Eager to conquer new challenges on a daily basis.
    • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
    • Well-rounded with varied interests, background and experience.
    • Experience with account-based marketing approaches a plus
