    We have opportunities working with commercial and industrial customers during their critical infrastructure projects, outages, shut downs, and emergent call out situations across the Western and Central United States regions.

    Leads and participates in the response of a team to reported emergencies, such as fires, rescues, accidents, medical assistance, and other hazardous conditions, as well as other assigned calls.

    Conducts timely and frequent training related to apparatus, equipment, supplies, safety inspections, physical fitness, accident prevention, monitors, and response times of their team members.

    Tasks:

    Inspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure safe working conditions and compliance with safety standards and government regulations.

    Address worker OSH concerns in accordance with applicable policies and procedures

    Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.

    Verify availability and/or monitor use of safety equipment, such as hearing protection, respirators, fall protection, etc.

    Investigate the adequacy of ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting, or other conditions that could affect employee health, comfort, or performance.

    Inspect specified areas to ensure the presence of fire prevention equipment, safety equipment, or first-aid supplies.

    Inspect fire suppression systems or portable fire systems to ensure proper working order.

    Prepare or review specifications or orders for the purchase of safety equipment, ensuring that proper features are present and that items conform to health and safety standards.

    Participate in or lead safety meetings, and provide project safety status.

    Conduct safety training, coaching and education programs and demonstrate the use of safety equipment.

    Investigate incidents to identify causes or to determine how such events might be prevented in the future.

    Maintain logbooks of daily activities, including areas visited or activities performed.

    Prepare required health and safety records, reports, and documentation.

    Remain calm and poised in all emergency situations and gain rapid control over the problem at hand.

    Knowledge of:

    Relevant standards, regulations, ordinances, codes and court decisions that affect industrial health and safety; Applicable equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective operations for the protection of people, property, and the environment; Machinery, tools and equipment used in heavy industry; Principles and methods for teaching and instruction of individuals and groups; Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services; Human behavior and performance; Structure and content of the English language; Arithmetic, algebra, geometry, basic chemistry, biology, and physics and their applications; Administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records; Company policies and the Capstone Way principles

    Minimum Requirements

    All candidates MUST have clean background investigation and successfully pass an initial drug screening upon offer of employment.

    The following sections provide the minimum qualifications for positions in non-exempt categories:

    DMV:

    Valid Class C Driver License

    Clean driving record

    Education:

    4-year degree or 2-year degree in OSH

    Preferred Disciplines:

    Occupational Safety and Health

    Safety Management or Science

    Work Experience:

    Three (3) years of relevant work experience in the OSH profession.

    Certification:

    ASP (or GSP), OHST, CHST, or CUSP

    COMPENSATION:

    Our pay rate ranges, in general, are as follows, depending on qualifications and/or training:

    Tank Entry Supervisor - $32 - $35
