    Capstone Fire Management is seeking upbeat, motivated and experienced wildfire engine captains to join our family. The job is perfect for newly retired engine company officers looking for a new opportunity in the private sector and/or engine bosses looking to join a professional organization for the upcoming fire season.

    We have opportunities working with commercial/industrial customers during their critical infrastructure projects as well as emergency response contracts to fight wildfire all over the western US.

    Engine Captains at Capstone have the opportunity to pass on your knowledge to your crew as well as continue your education in a new field. We want you to provide excellent service, make some money and have fun!

    Success as an Engine Captain at Capstone includes:

    Maintaining the company reputation through positive direct contact with customers, agencies, vendors, subcontractors and the public.

    Regularly and clearly communicates with management additional contractual opportunities with current and prospective customers.

    Abides by and reinforces the Company’s rules, regulations, policies, procedures, mission, guiding principles and firefighter empowerment, and “The Capstone Way.”

    Assures the performance of their team in accordance with the objectives and priorities established by the Company's Mission, Vision, and Values.

    Motivates their team by providing recognition and a sense of achievement when a job is well done, and helping assigned personnel learn new skills so they feel a sense of personal growth and advancement.

    Maintains a state of uninterrupted vigilance of the team during routine standby operations to effectively and promptly respond to action.

    Leads and participates in the response of a team to reported emergencies, such as fires, rescues, accidents, medical assistance, and other hazardous conditions, as well as other assigned calls.

    Conducts timely and frequent training related to apparatus, equipment, supplies, safety inspections, physical fitness, accident prevention, monitors, and response times of their team members.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    5 or more years of wildland firefighting/structure experience

    3 or more years as a supervisor or leadership position

    Minimum Training Requirements:

    CA State Fire Marshal Fire Officer or Equivalent OR

    NWCG ENGB (I-200, S-230, S-231, S-290) with signed Task Book (Preferred)

    Desirable Qualifications:

    Basic EMT

    I-300, L-280, S-200, S-215, S-234, S-270,

    Fire Command 1A, Fire Command 1B, Fire Command 1C, Fire Prevention 1A, Fire Management 1A

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    This is a Full-Time (FT)- Seasonal position. Expect lots of OT this fire season!!
