    Location: Fielding’s Steak – River Oaks Position Type: Part-Time / Full-Time

    Position Overview

    The Captain Server is a senior front-of-house professional responsible for guiding the guest experience with confidence, precision, and elevated hospitality. This role serves as a leader on the dining room floor, executing refined service standards while mentoring support staff and maintaining seamless communication with management. Ideal candidates demonstrate poise, strong product knowledge, and the ability to create memorable, relationship-driven dining experiences in a fine-dining environment.

    Core Responsibilities

    Lead the full-service experience for assigned tables with professionalism and grace

    Execute and uphold fine-dining service standards, pacing, and table management

    Provide knowledgeable menu guidance, including food, beverage, and wine recommendations

    Collaborate with Back Waiters and support staff to ensure seamless service execution

    Communicate effectively with management, kitchen, and front-of-house teams

    Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns with discretion and hospitality

    Maintain accuracy and efficiency in order entry, payment processing, and guest records

    Uphold all brand standards related to appearance, service, and guest engagement

    Leadership & Service Standards

    Serve as a role model for elevated hospitality and professionalism

    Maintain composure and attention to detail in a fast-paced, luxury environment

    Foster teamwork, accountability, and consistency across the service team

    Create polished, memorable experiences that encourage guest loyalty and repeat visits

    Qualifications

    At least 2 years of fine-dining service experience required

    Upscale steakhouse experience is a plus

    Wine knowledge is required, including the ability to confidently guide pairings and recommendations

    Experience with POS systems such as Lavu is a plus

    Familiarity with reservation platforms such as OpenTable is a plus

    Strong understanding of service pacing, table management, and guest flow

    Excellent communication, multitasking, and leadership skills

    Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
