    Currently, we are seeking an outgoing, dependable, and personable customer service representative to join our growing team in Melrose Park, IL. The position is entry-level in nature, and we are willing to train the right person.

    JOB PURPOSE:

    The Customer Service Representative is an essential role to the Caputo business model and one that has a substantial amount of room for career development, growth, and future opportunities.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • Receives customers' purchase orders by phone, fax, and email
    • Enters orders in an efficient and accurate manner utilizing the company’s ERP system Traverse
    • Handles a substantial amount of incoming and outgoing phone calls/emails
    • Responsible for the organization and tracking of all paperwork throughout the internal order fulfillment cycle
    • Work collaboratively with other Caputo Cheese departments for dispute resolution
    • Serves as an escalation point of contact for customer complaints by investigating problems, making recommendations, implementing corrective action, and developing solutions to increase customer satisfaction
    • Respond promptly to inquiries while handling the situation in the best interest of the customer
    • Build effective relationships with other departments to understand impact to customers and service levels
    • Generates customer invoices and issues them through email, standard mail, and uploading to various customer invoicing portals
    • Work as part of a team, with a flexible and proactive approach to increase and maintain the quality of service

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Strong work ethic
    • Well organized, capable of multi-tasking with the ability to effectively prioritize and balance workload
    • Excellent problem-solving skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Must be able to read and write English, and to speak and understand spoken English
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

    POSITION DETAILS:

    • Full-time
      • Monday through Friday
      • 8:30AM to 5PM
    • Company is closed in observance for the following holidays: Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
    • Exempt
      • Yearly salary range: $35K - $40K

     

    Pay will be based on experience and/or ability to meet requirements.
