    Grote Automotive is looking for a high-performing, motivated, and customer-focused Car Buying Coach to join our team in Elkhart, IN. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, prior sales experience, and a proven ability to build relationships with customers. As a Car Buying Coach, you’ll help customers through the full car-buying experience — from greeting them on the showroom floor, learning their needs, presenting vehicle options, coordinating test drives, and helping create a smooth, professional, and enjoyable buying process. We’re looking for someone who is confident, organized, personable, and driven to succeed. Prior automotive sales experience is preferred, but strong sales ability and a great attitude are just as important. Responsibilities: • Greet and assist customers on the showroom floor with professionalism and courtesy • Engage with customers in person and over the phone to understand their needs • Build strong relationships with customers and help guide them through vehicle selections • Present vehicle options, features, and benefits in a clear and helpful way • Coordinate test drives, vehicle demonstrations, and presentations • Walk customers through the Grote Automotive car-buying experience from start to finish • Review payment options with customers in a professional and understandable manner • Complete appropriate paperwork and documentation for vehicle sales • Maintain an up-to-date customer database to support current and future sales • Follow up with past customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business • Adhere to dealership standards, policies, and expectations for customer satisfaction • Use strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport Qualifications: • Prior sales experience required • Automotive dealership sales experience preferred • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills • Professional appearance and positive attitude • Excellent time management and follow-up skills • Ability to build rapport and provide a great customer experience • High school diploma or GED required • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required Compensation: $62,500 annually
