DESCRIPTION:

The Field Service Technician is responsible for equipment maintenance and repair, and for documenting related repairs and service. Also recommends changes in systems, programs and equipment to improve reliability, increase capability, and/or reduce customer loss. The Field Service Technician performs the following duties and responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Performs periodic scheduled and preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned by immediate supervisor.
• Responsible for accurately troubleshooting chemical, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment.
• Provide sound technical assistance to all site managers and distributors.
• Provide on-site technical training for site staff pertaining to use, operation, and minor maintenance of wash equipment.
• May assist in the installation of new car wash equipment.
• Maintain equipment room, tunnel, and all work areas cleanliness and free of trip, slip, or fall conditions.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional manner.
• Maintains all company owned equipment in proper working order and ensures timely maintenance is completed.
• Operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, while obeying local laws and regulations.
• Accurately perceives and conveys information from others. Assures appropriate flow of information and reports matters clearly, concisely, and accurately.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals, instructions, and work plans to perform services.
• Meets Safety Data Systems standards, ensures equipment, work areas, and facilities comply with environmental and safety standards.
• Enters and follows items with our MaintainX app.

LOCATIONS

• Any and all Wash Shop locations within the Midwest Market.
• Any and all Oil Changer Lube locations within the Midwest Market.
• At times, travel to other locations may be required for routine or training situations and may be scheduled or for emergency situations.

OTHER FUNCTIONS

• Any and all functions pertaining to the use, service and performance of car wash equipment. To include but not limited facilities repairs (i.e. lights, walls, minor plumbing.)
• Maintain professional appearance and decorum at all times with all staff and customers.
• Report to immediate supervisor on a regular basis for further instructions, training and any job duty assignments
• Clock in and out in a timely, accurate manner consistent with schedule or as instructed by immediate supervisor.
• Maintain availability during extenuating weather conditions, or if weather prohibits safe travel to locations.
