    POSITION SUMMARY: The Portfolio Management Rebalancing and Trading Assistant is primarily responsible for providing analytical support to the CEO.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree required with concentration in finance, economics and statistics. Master’s in Business Administration or CFAs desirable.
    • Three to Five plus years experience in the financial services industry required
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills required, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and business writing
    • Exceptional Typing Skills
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel a must. Outstanding customer service skills.
    • Professional, personable, tactful, efficient, and self-motivated
    • Collaborative, creative, team player, and problem-solver
    • Strong interpersonal skills and sense of teamwork valued
    • Strong organizational skills, multitasking, accuracy, service-minded, and meticulous adherence to details required

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Test portfolios for compliance with asset allocation targets and identify exceptions
    • Propose rebalancing trades, taking into account portfolio contributions and redemptions
    • Provide analytical and qualitative support to transition new portfolios and align them with investor objectives and risk tolerance
    • Handle periodic administrative support activities to include portfolio tracking system, CRM system, document management system, internal correspondence, telephone assistance, filing, and other operational duties.
    • Monitor and track incoming correspondence for Advisor
    • Support outbound correspondence for Advisor
    • Meeting preparation and follow-up to gather all required data, prepare analyses, and follow up on delivery of analyses to clients.
    • Execute client transactions and maintain trading records
    • Over time, contribute to the portfolio construction process for existing clients
    • Create processes for regular duties
    • Technology Utilization – working in and maintaining firm-wide software (Portfolio Center, Client Portal, Worldox, Junxure and Excel)

    QUALIFICATIONS, ADDITIONAL SKILLS & APTITUDE:

    • Excellent problem solving, critical reasoning and quantitative skills. Able to make high level independent decisions.
    • Attention to detail and strong verbal and oral communication skills. Excellent command of English.
    • Self-motivated, self-directed, able to work efficiently and take direction.
    • Handling sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
    • Experience utilizing Charles Schwab Advisor Center, Portfolio Center, Worldox and Junxure a plus
    • Proficiency with financial planning, Social Security analysis, and tax projection software; MoneyGuide Pro and eMoney expertise a plus.
    • Candidates in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) programs are encouraged to apply.

    The salary range for this position will be based on experience and qualifications. Healthcare allowance and a 401(k). Our office is located in San Marcos.

    Qualified candidates will start the process by having a 15-30 minute phone interview. If there is basis to move forward, you will invited for a more in-depth interview. Additional skills testing may be required. This position will require a background check.
