    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced senior energy engineer or energy auditor to work on challenging energy and water efficiency projects in multifamily buildings. You should be very self-motivated, enjoy working with and designing systems, adapt quickly to new technologies, and enjoy finding energy and water savings opportunities in the world around you. You are highly knowledgable with multifamily building types and associated mechanical systems, familiar with California building and energy codes along with utility incentive programs.

    General Requirements

    • Construction management experience
    • Ability to calculate energy savings using industry-standard formulas
    • Energy modeling software experience, especially Energy Pro
    • Up to date with ‘Energy Upgrade California’ incentive programs
    • Experience working within government and utility incentive programs
    • Familiar with California building code and energy code
    • Highly knowledgable with multifamily building types and associated mechanical systems
    • Existing relationships with California real estate professionals, service contractors, utility program implementers, product vendors, energy and water efficiency or renewable professionals
    • At least 5+ years of energy and water auditing experience
    • Creative problem-solving ability
    • Effective written and oral communication skills
    • High proficiency in Excel and excellent computer skills
    • Experience assessing energy and water-related systems commonly found in multifamily buildings
    • At least 5+ years of energy and water auditing experience

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate and communicate effectively with a team-oriented approach
    • Actively participate in professional industry associations
    • Foster relationships with California real estate professionals, service contractors, utility. program implementers, product vendors, energy and water efficiency or renewable professionals
