Job Description

We are looking for a creative and experienced software engineer to join our expanding engineering team as a Senior Android Automation Engineer. You will build high-performance tests that are robust, reliable and fast for our android application using Java, Kotlin, and Espresso automation frameworks. You will work extensively with other intellectually curious engineers and tech professionals to inspire one another and continuously scale and improve every aspect of our platform, to give our rapidly growing user base the best experience possible.

General Requirements

• 4+ years programming experience in Java and Kotlin
• Solid background with Espresso and other mobile automation frameworks
• Good knowledge of designing and building automated tests leveraging cloud infrastructure and Continuous Delivery systems
• Bachelors’ Degree with 5 years of relevant work experience or Masters’ Degree with 3 years of relevant work experience or Ph.D. with 2 years of relevant work experience

Responsibilities

• Write automated tests using Kotlin, Java, and Espresso for our Android application
• Define, program, update and troubleshoot automated tests
• Work alongside other engineers to help drive and improve the quality of our tests and product so that our customers have the best experience possible
• Partner with product and infrastructure engineers to understand our domains and architecture so as to write the best tests that fit within our CI/CD system

Preferred Skills

• Strong object-oriented skills including design, coding and testing patterns
• Technical knowledge and experience with mobile applications development
• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven and Gradle
• Knowledge of test frameworks design, development, and related solutions
