    Job Description

    General Summary

    Under limited supervision, provides an advanced level of comprehensive health care to a specific patient population in collaboration with medical staff. Follows established applicable nursing and medical standards, procedures and practices, and gives specific patient care directions to nursing and other support staff.

    • Provide outpatient cardiovascular consultations and manage chronic conditions such as hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and hyperlipidemia.
    • Interpret and order diagnostic testing, including EKGs, echocardiograms, Holter/event monitors, stress testing, and vascular studies.
    • Conduct hospital follow-ups, pre-operative clearances, and both new and returning patient visits.
    • Educate patients on lifestyle changes, medications, risk reduction, and disease prevention.
    • Independently run treadmill and nuclear stress tests.

    Support & Environment:

    • Work alongside experienced cardiologists, fellow NPs/PAs, nurses, and MAs.
    • Access to advanced office equipment including EKGs, echocardiography machines, ambulatory monitors, and more.
    • Strong administrative support for scheduling, referrals, and care coordination.
    • Patient load averages 10–12 patients per day.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Master of Science in Nursing and completion of an accredited NP program.
    • Current NP and RN licensure in Maryland.
    • Active DEA and CDS eligibility.
    • BLS certification (required prior to patient care).
    • Minimum of 2 years of NP experience with cardiology experience is required.

    Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with an annualized salary ranging from approximately $104,416 to $144,142.
