    CARDIOLOGY AND MEDICINE ENTERPRISES

    DESCRIPTION:

    We are looking for an exceptional Limited License X-Ray Technician that can be a team player in our busy Cardiology practice. Applicant must have a current Limited Radiologic Technologist License. The Limited License X-Ray Technician provides clinical and administrative expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, and efficient care. Duties include performing radiological diagnostic procedures, interviewing patients, obtaining medical histories, completing lab and x-ray request, keeping charts current, and screening calls within physician guidelines. Applicant should possess a caring and professional attitude, have excellent computer skills, and be able to multi-task. Experience with Holters, EKGs and Stress Tests preferred.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Demonstrates good judgment in situations not covered by written or verbal instructions or precedent.

    Thorough understanding of QC and proper documentation.

    Ability to conduct QC procedures (tests, instruments).

    Performs timely and quality radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.

    Performs quality control checks/audits on radiologic equipment.

    Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments..

    Maintains records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, and x-rays sent out to other labs.

    Assists with general patient care when needed..

    Assists in maintaining basic records and reports, including charge coding, requisition and x-ray folder documentation.

    Assists in maintaining files including charting, finding records and/or pulling x-ray folders.

    Maintain up to date stock and monitor and maintain medical equipment.

    Adds pertinent information to requisitions concerning Radiation Safety, clinical information, procedural notes.

    Has knowledge of policies and functions of other departments.

    Determines radiographic technique for appropriate examination.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Current Limited Radiologic Technologist License

    High School diploma or equivalent is required.

    Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
