    Pay Rate:$70-$75 per hour

    Cardiovascular Tech (RCIS) Must have all applicable licenses, certs Per diem

    Position Summary:

    The Cardiovascular Technologist (RCIS) assists physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and peripheral vascular disease by performing various diagnostic and interventional procedures within the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The technologist works closely with the cardiology team to ensure patient safety, quality imaging, and optimal procedural outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Prepare and maintain the Cardiac Cath Lab for procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning.

    Assist the cardiologist during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, and other cardiovascular procedures.

    Monitor and record hemodynamic data and assist with the operation of physiological monitoring and imaging systems.

    Scrub, circulate, and record as assigned during cardiac and peripheral procedures.

    Administer contrast media and medications under the direct supervision of a physician.

    Maintain sterile technique and ensure adherence to infection control standards.

    Assist in post-procedure patient care, including sheath removal and patient monitoring.

    Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.

    Maintain continuing education and certification requirements to ensure compliance with RCIS standards.

    Respond to emergency situations and participate in on-call rotation as required.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification through CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International).

    Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).

    Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent program.

    Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or interventional radiology setting.

    Preferred:

    Experience in peripheral vascular and electrophysiology (EP) procedures.

    Knowledge of Siemens or Philips Cath Lab systems.
