    SUMMARY: WR has an need for an Electronics Technician Lead (Assembly) who will act as line lead for technicians performing assembly of various electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment builds, including wiring harnesses and circuit boards.  Responsible for the verification of the quality and workmanship of the product, the training of new employees, and the timely completion of builds.

     

     

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES will include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Follows direction on layout and assembly procedures from supervisor on design details and functional criteria of electronic units.
    • Under general supervision of senior personnel, sets up standard test apparatus or devises test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and live tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production model.
    • Performs all aspects of mechanical assembly and integration of equipment.
    • Performs standard and custom Military and Commercial connectorization.
    • Analyzes and interprets test data.
    • Adjusts, calibrates, aligns, and modifies circuitry and components and records effects on unit performance.
    • Provides inputs for, and drafts, technical reports and charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate system's operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations.
    • Checks functioning of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
    • Maintains and continuously seeks improvements upon working environment for maximum efficiency, quality, cleanliness, and capabilities.
    • Assist with verification of product quality, both visually and through testing, at various stages of the process.
    • Assist with implementation of process improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure product is flowing properly through processes.
    • Address bottleneck issues.
    • Communicate material issues resulting from scrap, BOM errors, mis-picks, etc.

     

     

    CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Associate’s degree, or comparable work experience, preferred.
    • Minimum 4yrs experience with assembly of electrical/electronic and mechanical systems, including wiring harnesses. 
    • Minimum 2yrs experience supervising assembly technicians preferred.
    • Currently qualified or able to complete J-STD-001 and IPC-A-620.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to work a retail schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays.
    • Interior design or sales experience/knowledge a plus but not required.
    • Physically able to be on your feet and move throughout our showrooms over an 8-12 hour work day.
    • Ability to maintain emotional composure in a professional business setting with customers, peers and management.
    • Strong work ethic and dependability a must
    • General computer proficiency
    • Professional dress required

    Work performed in a store environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopies and fax machines. Use of personal cell phone for customer contact and follow up and personal computer tablet for room sketching. Regularly required to view, see, manipulate and handle product to demonstrate to customers. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  The employee continuously walks or stands on the store’s showroom floor.  Stands for extended periods of time.  The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and required to lift and carry small items up to 30 pounds, such as lamps, etc
