  • Responsibilities

    The Member Experience Representative - Retail On-the-Job Trainer (MER-ROJT) serves a dual role. It provides regular MER duties along with providing new employees an exemplary on-boarding experience through on-the-job training program. A Member Experience Representative (MER) is responsible for providing exemplary service to our members by identifying and recommending appropriate products and service solutions based on the members financial needs. A MER is responsible for a variety of services including but not limited to performing teller duties, opening and closing accounts, loan processing, renewing certificate accounts and assisting members with bookkeeping and checking account problems. The ROJT will assist in new employee onboarding through the 90/180-day on-the-job training program. The MER-OJT must have a thorough knowledge and experience in retail positions, plus proficiency in lending processing and the MRM Con2ect model. The MER job family has a defined career track with increased competencies to handle more complex account transactions. The MER-ROJT prepares an employee and is the bridge for the supervisory role. More complex transactions, such as IRA, fiduciary, power of attorney and trusts may be handled.

    Candidate selected will receive:

    • $500 bonus
    • $50 biweekly stipend
    • Virtual on-boarding for 6 months

    Required Skills

    • Ability to train others to build employees competence and confidence in delivering exceptional member service utilizing the member relations Con2ect model. • Ability to reinforce the training on technical and core systems, product knowledge and cross-selling. • Ability to train loan processing to include credit reports, debt to income, loan to value, and closing process. • Through show coaching the ability to build strong relationships with our members. • Ability to identify and offer appropriate Credit Union services and products that meet member’s needs. • Excellent oral and written skills. • Professional appearance and attitude. • Above average ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment including 10-key and telephone. • Solid math and bookkeeping abilities. • Ability to gain and demonstrate sound lending functions. • Must be able to demonstrate established competency levels for all required regulatory or compliance-related processes and/or procedures within established timeframes of appointment. • Ability to work in an environment of flexible and changing work schedules. Has gained proficiency in the competencies relevant to the job.

    • Has a thorough knowledge of lending processing • Knowledge of the credit union’s product and services, policies and procedures • Works under moderate supervision • Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. • Ability to process a loan application and review the credit report for cross-sell opportunities

    Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

    Required Experience

    • 2 years of Financial Institution experience to include 1 years of loan processing. • IRA Certification • Notary • Actively working on Supervisory Track

    Education

    • High School Graduate or equivalent. • Associates in Business or related field preferred.
