  • Responsibilities

    The Executive Sales Specialist - Neurology will represent Corium’s CNS business unit, as business owner in his/her respective field territory. Included is the responsibility to establish territory by developing and growing clinical relationships with Neurologists and key Alzheimer’s disease health care professionals, preparing for go-to market successful launch promotion and pull-through. 

     

    The individual will represent Corium as a subject-matter expert in the Alzheimer’s disease state, demonstrating in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product and competitive landscape (current/future).  In executing this role, you will also develop relationships with other care providers in offices, exhibiting knowledge in patient/caregiver education, support, payer/access coverage and reimbursement, while adhering to Corium’s mission and values, as well as all compliance and ethical standards.  The skill set requires confidence in one’s depth of knowledge, experience engaging in Neurology and with Sub-Specialists, and is expected to be recognized as an expert resource for clinicians and Corium field-based and commercial colleagues.

     

    Required Skills

    • Engage in clinical and disease state conversations with disease experts to prepare territory for market entry of to-be commercialized product
    • Effectively and compliantly promote Corium’s products to Physicians and other healthcare professionals
    • Understand national, regional, and local market trends to inform execution of role
    • Achieve market uptake and sales goals by effectively implementing marketing strategies and sales plan in assigned territory
    • Review and analyze territory-specific market data and performance metrics in order to develop and implement sales strategy to meet or exceed sales objectives
    • Maintain and update current and prospective target prescriber profilesand call records
    • Keep current with market knowledge and competitive products
    • Exemplify Corium values and maintain a professional image
    • Successfully complete/participate in all required training and sales meetings
    • Conduct sales presentations – both virtual and in person as applicable
    • Coordinate and participate in promotional learning: lunch & learns, speaker programs, and conferences, as appropriate
    • Demonstrate mastery of current selling model with expertise in questioning and probing to better understand customer behaviors and opportunity areas
    • Demonstrate effective interaction with Corium company personnel
    • Assist with special projects as assigned by management
    • Make complete, accurate and timely submission of all call activity, expense reports, and sample activity when applicable
    • Comply with governing corporate policies and SOPs, as well as applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, including compliance with promotional programs, and proper use of promotional materials and promotional expense budgets

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university required
    • Advanced degree (medical or business) preferred
    • Must hold a valid driver’s license
    • Prior experience in Alzheimer’s disease, Neurology medical sales required (minimum 1-3 years required)

    • Up to 25%+ travel may be required and may include some overnight travel.
    • May need to work evenings and weekends as needed (conferences, programs, etc.)
    • Strong relationships and knowledge of assigned territory preferred. Must reside within assigned territory geography.
