    This is not a remote position and is based out of our Home Office in beautiful Washougal, Washington.

    Job Summary:

    Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources and working alongside the Human Resource Team, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for various duties that ensure the Human Resource Department is providing efficient and effective service to our internal and external customers. This position will also act as the important “face” of Ballard by greeting visitors and answering incoming calls as well as providing support to the Washougal offices.

    Education:

    __

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field, or equivalent education/experience.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the Human Resources field.
    • Prior experience utilizing HR related computer-based platforms is a PLUS.

    SKills:

    • Intermediate to advanced skill in utilizing Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate and work well at all levels within the organization.
    • Calm and steady approach in all situations. Highly professional demeanor.
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products, particularly Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Proficiency with SharePoint.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Service oriented; driven to provide excellent service throughout the organization.
    • Excellent ability to manage tasks and conflicting priorities and deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Able to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

    Responsibilitiies:

    • Provide general recruiting support including scheduling interviews.
    • Oversee the on-boarding of all new employees by gathering necessary new hire paperwork, completing I-9 forms, processing e-Verify, requesting background checks, and keying in data and authorizing the “clear to start” release.
    • Oversee the offboarding process of all employees ensuring group notifications, system data entry and exit interview launch.
    • Perform various HR responsibilities such as employment verifications, labor law postings, managing the employee activities team and events, overseeing various employee celebration programs, and contributing to content management on the HR SharePoint site.
    • Maintain accurate and complete employee records and personnel files in compliance with Federal and State laws and Company policies and procedures.
    • Manage systems and programs related to the employee appreciation programs.
    • Provide support to the BEAT committee and act as a culture/engagement ambassador for the Washougal offices. Uphold the standards as set by the BEAT Charter and help to organize and facilitate strong events.
    • Manage HR calendar on SharePoint.
    • Maintain general office functions, including office supply inventory and ordering, performing regular office rounds to ensure general office organization and cleanliness.
    • Manage and plan events, including company meetings, parties, team building events, etc.
    • Assist President and EVP, CAO with general support as needed.
    • Greet visitors and answer and rout incoming phone calls. Receive and distribute incoming mail and electronic mail coming in through the general information inbox.
    • Coordinate the pickup and delivery of shipping services.
    • Facilitate and coordinate general facilities maintenance. Establish and manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost-effective services.Actively maintain confidentiality on all matters related to performing the function of the job.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Physical Demands/Working Environment:

    • Work is generally performed while standing or sitting, in an office environment, with a computer and telephone.
    • The work environment is fast paced and challenging, involving the need to handle situations under pressure.
    • Must be able to lift and push up to 50lbs.
    • Able to step up on short step stools to access areas with some height.
    • Physically capable of stocking supplies on shelves that may be overhead.

    Salary Range:

    • $24-$30 per hour

    Pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
