Your neighborhood Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy announces an immediate opening for an enthusiastic full-time Pharmacy Technician at our retail store in DuBois, PA.  

JOB OPENING: PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

LOCATION: 30 WEST PARK AVE, DUBOIS, PA 

STATUS: FULL-TIME

WORK SCHEDULE: VARIABLE 35-37 HOURS/WEEK COINCIDING WITH STORE OPERATING HOURS (MONDAY-FRIDAY 9:00AM-6:00PM, SATURDAY 9:00AM-1:00PM)

As a Pharmacy Technician you will be responsible for compounding and dispensing medical prescriptions and supporting our pharmacy clinical operational processes. Other duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Assists in preparing prescriptions by selecting the pharmaceutical or accessory from stock; counts, pours, reconstitutes or compounds, packages, and labels the product as required
• Prepares Mediset packaging by inserting medications into designated compartments relative to time and day
• Entry of new orders into the computer system
• Performing cashiering functions
• Providing Customer Service to patients and Health Care Providers
• Promote promotional items and suggestively sell to patients based on pharmacist recommendations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pharmacy setting required, experience with data entry preferred
• Active Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and handle other computer components.
• Basic computer skills
