    FastMed Urgent Care has a full time position available in our accounting department for an experienced Revenue Accounting Manager. The position is based in our Brentwood, TN corporate office. The position can be hybrid, with days in the office and days remote. We are looking for individuals who possess a positive attitude and have strong work ethic.     JOB SUMMARY:

    The revenue accounting manager oversees the monthly accounting close cycle and reporting process as it relates to revenue and receivables. Provide technical expertise for revenue accounting, ensures all revenue related contracts are recognized and calculated in accordance with US GAAP and company policy. Lead and provide direction to a Senior Corporate Accountant.

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Execute, maintain and oversee month-end close tasks associated with revenue recognition, including establishment of necessary reserves and adjustments.
    • Perform assessments on all necessary reserves for uncollectible amounts, and periodic testing of collection rates to validate the reserve methodology.
    • Prepare relevant analysis of variations and operational/business drivers based on revenue related results.
    • Preparation of revenue schedules and reconciliations of all revenue related transactions/accounts.
    • Manage and support revenue recognition matters with external audit for annual audits and joint venture partners.
    • Communicate and collaborate with revenue cycle management team
    • Prepare ad hoc analysis and assist in other accounting and finance related tasks as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN ACCOUNTING OR BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, OR EQUIVALENT BUSINESS EXPERIENCE AND 5+ YEARS OF PROGRESSIVELY RESPONSIBLE EXPERIENCE FOR A MAJOR COMPANY OR DIVISION OF A LARGE CORPORATION.

    • PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WITH A CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT DESIGNATION, AND MULTI-SITE HEALTH CARE EXPERIENCE IS ALSO PREFERRED.

    • STRONG UNDERSTANDING OF REVENUE RECOGNITION.

    • EXCELLENT ANALYTICAL, DECISION-MAKING, AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS

    • MUST HAVE A STRONG WORK ETHIC, SELF-MOTIVATED WORK STYLE AND A GOOD ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND ENJOY A DYNAMIC ENVIRONMENT WITH NEW CHALLENGES AND CHANGING WORK PRIORITIES.

    • PROFICIENT IN MS EXCEL.

    • GREAT PLAINS OR OTHER ERP EXPERIENCE, PREFERRED.

     

    IN ADDITION TO A COMPETITIVE SALARY, THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR ANNUAL BONUS INCENTIVES.
