    We are seeking a Technician to support shipboard testing efforts in support of US Navy ship modernization programs. The candidate will have experience as an electrical technician and the ability to troubleshoot control systems with the use of system documentation and electrical schematics. The candidate will be expected to lead shipboard test and troubleshooting efforts. Duties and responsibilities include:

    1. Leading shipboard test and troubleshooting evolutions
    2. Troubleshooting control systems with the use of system documentation and electrical schematics
    3. Providing test support for all variants of fielded systems at test facility and shipboard
    4. Providing software and hardware installation support of all variants of fielded systems at test facility and shipboard
    5. Providing documented status updates on a regular basis
    6. Acting as a liaison between shipboard test team, ship’s force, and technical leads back in Philadelphia
    7. Aid in test procedure edits, development and implementation

    Required Skills

    Technical Skillsets required:

    1. Electrical troubleshooting skills to include the ability to use a digital multimeter.
    2. Electrical principals to include understanding the difference between current, voltage and resistance as well as how to effectively troubleshoot circuits containing them
    3. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
    4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook)
    5. Reasonable problem solving ability
    6. Attention to detail and meticulous logging of testing, troubleshooting steps, and findings

    Advanced Skillsets desired:

    1. Advanced computer skills to include use of HyperTerminal, Putty, or an equivalent serial interface
    2. Ability to use a VME Bus analyzer
    3. Ability to use an oscilloscope and signal generator
    4. Familiarity with embedded control systems both centralized and decentralized
    5. Understanding of electronic control systems and how they interface with sensors, pumps, and other mechanical and electronic equipment
    6. US Navy shipboard experience in engineering department

    Expected Travel Frequency: 30-50%

    Required Experience

    3 to 5 years of experience as an electrical technician

    Experience tracing signals and diagnosing or isolating cause for electrical failures

    Experience with grounded and ungrounded systems

    Successful applicants must either have an active government security clearance or the ability to receive approval upon position acceptance
