The Credit Refund Specialist is responsible for solving problems in a timely manner; gathering and analyzing information skillfully; and developing solutions. Duties include processing patient refunds, reviewing accounts for balances and processing refunds for governmental payors.
- Models behaviors related to CareSpot values (Compassion, Authentic, Respect, Empower)
- Promptly and professionally addresses patient inquiries and provides explanation to the refund process
- Responds to requests for service and assistance and meet commitments in a timely manner
- Daily processing of patient refunds
- Reviews accounts daily for balances and initiates proper refund process
- Daily processing of refund to governmental payors
- Performs other duties as assigned

Required Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Billing and coding certificate or 1 year of billing experience within a healthcare facitiliy or insurance company
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience
