Our client is a non-profit. They seek a temp to perm Career Advisor to join their Brooklyn, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Complete intake, eligibility screening, and job readiness assessments
• Support before and after job placement, ensuring participants have resources
• Develop individualized employment service plans for participants
• Meet with participants to ensure they are progressing toward their goals
• Provide individualized support to clients during their job search efforts
• Match job seekers with open job opportunities and facilitate interviews
• Take detailed case notes, update attendance logs, and submit weekly reports
• Refer participants to trainings, skills classes, and other certification programs
• Meet weekly, quarterly, and annual enrollment and job placement numbers
• Model professionalism, cultivating a safe environment for career development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 1-3 years of social services experience
• Experience developing individualized service
• Passion for serving disadvantaged individuals
• Understanding of workforce development, employment services
• Experience with Trauma-Informed/Two-Generational methods
• Excellent communication and client-service skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and SharePoint
