A tier-1, publicly traded company is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their pedigreed Corporate Accounting team. Focusing on consolidated cash flow statements, month-end reporting and sophisticated, technical accounting issues, this is a great role for someone looking to transition out of Big 4 or someone looking to level up their current Senior Accountant role with a tier-1, publicly traded company and continue to develop their accounting career.
Responsibilities
- Perform accounting functions related to joint ventures including preparation of monthly and quarterly joint venture distributions
- Prepare monthly equity investment and interest reconciliations
- Focus on transactional journal entries (acquisitions and dispositions) and preparation of shareholders' equity
- Assist in internal and external audit requests related to quarterly reviews and annual audit
- Prepare various SEC reporting disclosures and other quarterly reporting schedules
- Aid in the preparation of the consolidated statement of cash flows
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Minimum 2 years of Public Accounting experience, preferably within a Big 4 firm and/or corporate accounting experience within publicly traded company
- CPA required
- Ability to understand complex corporate structures and consolidations
- Expert knowledge using spreadsheet programs (including Microsoft Excel)
- MRI experience a plus
- Strong written and oral communication skills
