Accounting Consultant - Consumer Products Company
A well-known and rapidly growing consumer products company is seeking an Accounting Consultant to join their team for 4 - 6 months. This is a hybrid role, working two days a week in their office in the Inland Empire and three days a week from home. Playing a key role in AP, AR, and GL, the Accounting Consultant will be a rover on the Accounting team and work closely with the Managers of each accounting department.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile bank accounts daily and monthly.
- Reconcile and post biweekly payroll entries.
- Assist with ensuring accuracy of financial statements.
- Analyze information and data by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying accuracy of reports.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reporting for management and external partners.
- Assist in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments
- Prepare sales and use tax files and other regulatory reporting.
- Assists with annual income tax preparation as needed.
- Provides functional backup for other finance functions as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 3+ years of diverse corporate accounting experience
- Possesses strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong background in AP, AR, and the month-end close process
- Ability to read and analyze financial reports
- Able to comfortably interact and communicate with management, other departments and with external partners
