    Long established Real Estate/Property Management company seeking self-driven, reliable and resourceful Controller to work in a fast paced, high volume environment. Ability to multi-task and transition between tasks easily, prioritize, and work independently and as part of a group required.

    MUST REPORT TO THE OFFICE IN GREAT NECK FULL TIME HOURS: MON-THURS, 9am-5:30pm, FRI 9am-4pm

    Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Responsible for maintaining daily cash balances

    • Maintain treasury calendar with all principal & interest due dates and requirements for mortgages and other financing debt

    • Ensure incoming receipts are applied accurately and timely and in compliance with all established policies and procedures.

    • Liaise with accounts payable, payroll and accounting groups as required to forecast cash requirement needs

    • Maintain cash management & day to day bank relationships

    • Manage electronic banking solutions, while controlling costs

    • Review bank account analysis statements for accuracy and cost control

    • Primary initiator of electronic funds transmissions

    • Draft and update treasury policies as required, e.g. wire payments, ACH payments; cash collected, etc..

    • Follow internal controls surrounding treasury and payment processes

    • Maintain regular cash flow forecasts and comparison to actual and discuss with CFO & Principals

    • Project cash requirements on short, mid and long-term basis

    • Oversee the timely processing of tenant security accounts and monthly reconciliations of the same

    • Work closely with A/R and A/P on weekly/monthly aging reports, as well as identify areas of operational and cost efficiencies and optimize working capital

    • Work closely with the CFO to support short-term borrowings and repayments; Interface with the IT Director and CFO relating to Treasury and banking technology applications

    • Work closely with accounting, operations and legal in managing treasury activities

    • Develop a team environment to achieve productivity and quality performance and lead by example to create a climate that fosters high performance job engagement.

    • Ensure team members are properly trained and follow companies’ policies and procedures.

    • Prioritizes and manages completion of all assigned projects

    • Letter of credit management

    • Respond to outside auditor’s requests, e.g. balance confirmation letters

    • Other Ad hoc reporting as required

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA is preferred

    • 6+ years of cash management, treasury, banking and/or accounting for multiple entities experience

    • Real Estate Property Management experience is required

    • Proven ability to work with and manage large amounts of data including a substantial number of bank accounts

    • Experience with all Microsoft Office programs such as MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

    • Advanced MS Excel skills are required; knowledge of Pivot tables and V-look up mandatory
