    Job Description

    San Francisco based non-profit is seeking a Benefits Assistant to join their team in Oakland, on a part time basis.  In this position you will be tasked with a variety of duties including processing pay calculations, assisting with weekly audits, assist with claim  approvals, and more.  This is a temporary position with the intention of becoming permanent and will require to be in office in Oakland five days a week.  If you’re an energetic go-getter who is looking for their next position in benefits administration we’d love to hear from you!  

    ABOUT THE JOB

    • Aid in the approval of claims in situations of incorrect payment or eligibility

    • Aid in auditing weekly submissions of availability data, and identify and correct issues when needed 

    • Help with the preparation of statistical reports and perform research in the pursuit of supporting benefits administration and the labor relations decision making processes 

    • Run and distribute reports to Union Locals

    • Maintain internal databases, check for errors, and update them as needed 

    • Support Benefits Administrator with ad-hoc assignments  

    • Manage benefits filings, and maintain casual and registration master files

    ABOUT YOU

    • 2+ years experience working in benefits administration

    • Experience using HRIS/Benefits Administration systems

    • 2 year degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience 

    • Outstanding verbal and written communication

    • Proficient in MS Office, and Lotus notes; intuitive with technology

    • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
