Consumer Goods Manufacturer is seeking a bright and savvy Accounting Assistant/Invoice Deduction Specialist to support its regional accounting team. In this great contract role, you will manage all aspects of the company’s deduction process as well as take on ad-hoc duties to streamline accounting efficiencies. The ideal candidate for this position is a motivated professional who possesses exceptional organization and communication skills along with a thorough knowledge of accounting procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assess and analyze all customer deductions
• Ensure all deductions are accurate and up to date in system, including frequent updating
• Obtain, enter, and print deduction back ups
• Interface with customers, brokers, and sales managers to answer any inquiries
• Make sure all deductions are approved and properly assigned
• Resolve deductions daily and assign to the appropriate accounts
• Special projects on an as needed basis

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates’ Degree in Accounting required, and a Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred
• Advanced proficiency in accounting concepts
• Phenomenal communication skills, both written and verbal
• Analytical, resourceful, and deadline-oriented workstyle
• Adaptable, flexible attitude and capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Meticulous attention to detail and organization
