Investor Relations Analyst – Hedge Fund
A global hedge fund is looking to hire an IR Analyst in a newly created role on their Client Advisory Team with 1-2 years of experience. This individual will support the team’s Capital Development, Investor Engagement, and Client Service initiatives. The position covers a diverse set of responsibilities as a key part of the team and will help with project management and process development across a variety of functions.
Location: Midtown NYC, on site 4 days/week (remote on Fridays)
Salary : commensurate with experience from $85k-$95k + discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits
Daily Responsibilities will include:
-Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of investor universe, investment strategies and competitive landscape
-Ownership of due diligence questionnaires, on-site due diligence meetings, request for proposals and requests
-Ownership, coordination and preparation of investor content, including investor reports, investor
meeting presentations and communications including:
-Quarterly fund investor reports and presentations
-Annual/Investor meeting presentations
-Marketing and branding materials
-Market/industry content management on social media platforms
-Ad-hoc reports, presentations, and communications
-Share ownership of the Investor Relations inbox
-Oversee team’s use of its CRM (Salesforce)
-Support of outreach efforts for the team by helping organize investor events, sending outreach emails for roadshows, assisting with meeting follow-ups, and investor research
-Helping organize cap intro data and introductions provided by the Firm’s prime brokers (peer
group analysis, performance information etc.)
-Ensuring compliance with internal and external rules, policies, and procedures as well as regulatory requirements
Our ideal candidate will have:
-Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance required
-Minimum 1-2 years of relevant investor relations experience in financial services
-Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
-Extremely detail oriented and strong organization skills
-Strong knowledge of alternative investments universe
-Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
-Strong sense of personal responsibility, ownership mentality, reliability, and results-orientation
-Must be able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
