    Working directly with an Orange County nonprofit to fill an Accounting Manager opening.

    Accounting Manager  will supervises a dynamic team of accounting professionals, including training and coaching for performance improvement and development. Provides leadership and works with staff to create a high performance, service-oriented work environment that supports the company’s mission. Directly supervises Lead Accountant, Junior Accountant, and Accounts Payable team in the day to day operations of one or more accounting functions, including reconciliation of income, expense and balance sheet accounts; maintenance of reconciliation for subsidiary ledgers, e.g. accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll, as well as associated analysis and reporting. Supervise the Accounts Payable functions of c3 and c4. Approve journal entries posted in the accounting system. Oversees calculating, posting, and verification of financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records. Maintains the integrity of accounting records by ensuring that staff complies with organization accounting policies and procedures. Assists with grant invoicing and grant accounting. Assists with record keeping for the C4 & PAC. Responsible for resource sharing calculations for various entities.

    Ideal Candidate: 

    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent is required.
    • A minimum of 5-8 or more years of experience in auditing or an accounting department.
    • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
    • Experience in a non-profit and/or healthcare industry experience highly desired.

    Supervisory Experience

    • A minimum of 1-3 years of supervisory or management experience.
    • Demonstrated ability as an effective leader including coaching and team-building skills.
    • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
    • Financial Reporting, Planning, Analysis and Budgeting experience.
    • Excellent strategic planning skills.
    • Experience supervising or managing a team of accountants.
