    We are assisting a 100 year old nonprofit healthcare organization fill a Director Case Management role for their Orange County, CA location.

    Director of Case Management to oversee and manage the Case Management Department who provide follow up of abnormal labs / diagnostic studies and external care referrals in accordance with their regulations and protocols and Board of Registered Nursing

    Responsibilities

    • Manages and oversees case management department ensuring appropriate staffing/workload distribution and coverage.
    • Develop and implement productivity and quality measures for the case management department.
    • Ensures case management department compliance with protocols for patient notification and follow-up.
    • Assist in management of high-risk cases including expediting the referral process for high-risk cases, assisting the patient in identifying funding for their care, and reviewing and scanning records of evaluations done outside the affiliate.
    • Provide coverage and assistance to other members of the case management team as needed.
    • Act as a liaison to outside laboratory services vendor.

    Qualifications

    Licensure and/or Certification Requirements:

    • Minimum licensure requirement is an active California Registered Nurse's License.
    • CPR Certification.

    Minimum Education:

    • AS/BS in Nursing required.

    Minimum Work Experience:

    • 1 year of clinical experience required.
    • 5-8 years of case management experience preferred.

    Supervisory Experience:

    • 5-9 years of supervisory experience preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability as an effective leader including coaching and team-building skills.
    • Good managerial skills, which require the ability to effectively manage administrative functions for the Department.
    • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
    • Budgeting experience.
    • Excellent strategic planning skills.
