We are working to fill a Day Full-time or Part-time NICU Nurse Educator-opportunity. This top-rated Level 4 NICU has been able to produce results that very few institutions across the U.S have been able to do through their advances in technologies, procedures, philosophies, and world-renowned team of experts! This NICU, thanks to the team’s excellence and outstanding Small Baby Unit was able to successfully deliver twin boys who both survived and are thriving at only 22 weeks gestational age!
This NICU educator opportunity will strictly focus on ongoing clinical education. There is a designated on-boarding and new grad educator and a dedicated night-shift educator. This position is open to all Charge Nurses and Supervisors who want Education to be the next step in their career!
The NICU Educator in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Specialist and unit management, is responsible for staff development as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, leader and researcher. This is accomplished by the facilitation of the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation and evaluation of competency assessment, continuing education and leadership development incorporating adult learning theory and age appropriate guidelines.
Experience:
* Required: Minimum three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in an area of specialty. One (1) year of mentoring/teaching experience.
* Preferred: Two (2) years of clinical education experience within the specialty area.
Education:
* Required: Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited (BRN) school of Nursing.
* Preferred: Masters degree in Nursing or related field.
