    Our client is searching for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Corporate Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting system, with a specific focus on the manufacturing sector. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including production, engineering, and procurement, to gain a deep understanding of our operations and translate that knowledge into insightful financial analysis.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the entire accounting cycle for manufacturing operations, including cost accounting, inventory management, and variance analysis.
    • Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant industry standards.
    • Manage month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
    • Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
    • Analyze variances between standard and actual costs, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to improve efficiency and profitability.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of internal controls and implement procedures to safeguard financial data.
    • Support the external audit process by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
    • Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest accounting pronouncements and industry best practices.
    • May supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
    • CPA certification preferred.
    • 5+ years of experience in a senior corporate accounting role within the manufacturing industry.
    • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and variance analysis.
    • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
